Accommodation

Students will receive full room and board at Columbia University. They stay in traditional American dormitory style rooms and have free WiFi, Laundary Facilities at an additional cost and access to communal spaces.

Towels and bed linen are provided.

The programme offers three meals daily (breakfast, lunch and dinner) at the University restaurant. It’s self-service. On the day of the full-day excursion breakfast and dinner will be offered at the restaurant and lunch will be provided as packed.

Entertainment

A full and varied programme of sports, cultural and art activities takes place in the campus areas. This is another great opportunity for students to use the English language and also to have fun and get to know their peers from other countries. The social programme is organised by the staff of the organisation and includes sports, team games (quiz nights, disco parties and treasure hunt) and cultural outings so get ready to party & fun!

The programme rounds off with one full-day excursion and half-day visits every week. Destinations may include Coney Island and the Statue of Liberty.

Lessons

Classic course provides the perfect learning adventure through a combination of lessons, activities and excursions. The academic programme is dynamic, interactive and desingned to build confidence and motivate students. Linking activities and excursions to classroom learning enables students to put what they have learnt straight into practice.

On the first day, all students take part in a placement test which will determine their language level. The classes are multi-national to encourage constant use of the language.

The teachers are qualified and certified in teaching German to students as a foreign language. At the end of the programme students receive a Certificate of Attendance

The educational programme is accredited and certified by reputable audit institutions of the UK.
